ISO 14021-2016 version (UL 2809) recycled material content verification statement

UL's accreditation will be based on the definition of ISO 14021:2016
1. Pre-consumer recycled material
The reuse of materials such as scrap generated by the production process and being able to be recycled in the same process that produced it.
2. Post-consumer recycled material
For example, discarded plastic bottles, food containers, scrapped electronic and electrical products
Materials produced by households or commercial, industrial and institutional facilities as end users of products which can no longer be used for their intended purpose. This includes returning materials from the distribution chain.
3. Closed Loop Recycled
is the recycling of waste materials generated by manufacturers or post-consumer waste into the same product
Such as scrap aluminum recycling, Ocean plastic waste/Ocean Bound Plastic, etc.
